Aulani is the kind of resort that makes it very easy to stay put. The pools, beach, food, characters, and slow Ko Olina mornings can fill a whole vacation without much effort. Still, Hawaii has so much more waiting beyond the resort gates, and taking time to explore Oahu can turn a great trip into a memorable one. One of my favorite excursions from this trip was Kualoa Ranch. It is about a 55-minute drive from Aulani, and the ride itself is part of the fun.
